The 2011 judges were: Michael Brennan (Footscray Community Arts Centre, Trocadero Art Space), Erika Gofton (local artist and tutor) and Councillor Michael Raffoul, Mayor of Hobsons Bay City Council.
The judges announced the winners at the Awards and Wrap Up Party, after deep collaboration and several days reviewing the exhibitions as part of the Artist in Businesses section of the program.

Meet the Filmmakers Behind the Documentary Film
Meet Alex Joseski and Jonathan Burton the talented young duo behind the documentary film of Art in Public Places 2011. They spent the six weeks scooting from one side of town to the other, making sure they captured the essence of the program by interviewing artists and businesses involve, as well as capturing the events.

The event is free.
New Directions - Public Art in the 21st Century looks at how the nature of public art is changing under the influence of new technologies, changing interpretations of what constitutes 'public art', and new artistic approaches to placing work in the public domain.
Featuring a panel of leading practitioners, including artists Ian De Gruchy and Robbie Rowlands,
and RMIT lecturer, Fiona Hillary.

Street smART Annual Auction
Thanks to the generous nature of many artists including several exhibiting 2011 Art in Public Places artists, street smART were able to raise $2000 towards the operational costs for their program.

Larissa would like to thank everyone who came along to the opening of her exhibition and gave generous feedback and support.
50% of all her sales will be donated to Disability Sport & Recreation, to support the establishment of a Wheelchair Basketball Clinic in Hanoi in Vietnam.
