New Directions - Public Art in the 21st Century looks at how the nature of public art is changing under the influence of new technologies, changing interpretations of what constitutes 'public art', and new artistic approaches to placing work in the public domain.

Featuring a panel of leading practitioners, including artists Ian De Gruchy and Robbie Rowlands,
and RMIT lecturer, Fiona Hillary.

Facilitated by ABC Radio presenter Amanda Smith.

Street smART Annual Auction

Thanks to the generous nature of many artists including several exhibiting 2011 Art in Public Places artists, street smART were able to raise $2000 towards the operational costs for their program.

Spontaneous Art

Bev Aisbett has been super creative during the course of the program. She has not only created a new artwork, but has it displayed in an alternate shop to help promote her Art in Public Places exhibition.



'Walkies by the Warmies, Part One- Dog's Balls' is now on show at Eye Can C promoting Art in Public Places
