The 2011 judges were: Michael Brennan (Footscray Community Arts Centre, Trocadero Art Space), Erika Gofton (local artist and tutor) and Councillor Michael Raffoul, Mayor of Hobsons Bay City Council.

The judges announced the winners at the Awards and Wrap Up Party, after deep collaboration and several days reviewing the exhibitions as part of the Artist in Businesses section of the program.

Meet the Filmmakers Behind the Documentary Film

Meet Alex Joseski and Jonathan Burton the talented young duo behind the documentary film of Art in Public Places 2011. They spent the six weeks scooting from one side of town to the other, making sure they captured the essence of the program by interviewing artists and businesses involve, as well as capturing the events.

Street smART Annual Auction

Thanks to the generous nature of many artists including several exhibiting 2011 Art in Public Places artists, street smART were able to raise $2000 towards the operational costs for their program.

Bev Aisbett has been super creative during the course of the program. She has not only created a new artwork, but has it displayed in an alternate shop to help promote her Art in Public Places exhibition.

In All aboard the Echo Chamber, mess, the improvised and the pragmatic are the Combining collage, painting and sound, as well as whatever else was on hand, Quintanilla has
created a festive space. Here seemingly mournful fragments of past events combine and configure into a new celebratory reality.
